Founders Park
Founders Park is a 2-plus acre green space located in front of the Old State Bank in Downtown Decatur. The park was created in the 1900s to help preserve the frontal view of the Old State Bank. Founder’s Park also provides green space for the adjacent historic downtown and historic residential neighborhoods. The park is home to the Daikin Amphitheater which includes lights, power and a state-of-the-art sound system. The amphitheater is host to a variety of events throughout the year such as Concerts in the Park, the Enchanted Forrest and a multitude of weddings and runs.

Founders Park and Daikin Amphitheater are the home of a variety of events in conjunction with Downtown Decatur. All prospective event organizers are required to complete various forms prior to event approval. We have created a helpful packet to aid in this process. Concerts in the Park
Decatur Parks & Recreation is proud to host the Concerts in the Park Series at the Daikin Amphitheater. These FREE concerts are a great way to enjoy some awesome music in the beautiful outdoors. Concerts in the Park occur throughout the year, with a Spring Series lineup and a Fall Series lineup, both showcasing talented artists from near and far. Concerts are held on Monday nights from 6p to 8p and attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets to enjoy an evening filled with rhythm, community and good vibes!
